Garden City Diagnostics uses the Hitachi AIRIS II Open MRI, which provides the versatility needed to meet a demanding range of clinical requirements. It provides comfort for the patient while delivering consistently high-quality images needed for a comprehensive diagnosis. And of course, the AIRIS II is backed by Hitachi Medical Corporation, a recognized leader in imaging technology.
AIRIS II is a new concept magnet design, which is completely open on both sides as well as the front and back. This unique Open-Air design provides greater patient comfort during scanning and helps to minimize the claustrophobic effect.
The most popular features include a comfortably padded patient table, which is power-driven, extra-wide, and ultra-thin. These features make it easy to transfer patients from hospital beds and wheelchairs and also support larger patients. The AIRIS II Soft Sound gradients also offer an extremely quiet experience during the scan. We can get people in usually the same day.

Mandy Castro RT (R) (M) (MR)
Mandy Castro RT (R) (M) (MR)
Mandy Castro RT (R) (M)(MR) is Board Certified in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiology and Mammography. Mandy is licensed by the State of Kansas and is also a current member of the American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT). Mandy is originally from Hays, Kansas and moved to Garden City in January, 2003.
Mandy graduated from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in May, 2004 with an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor Degree in Medical Diagnostic Imaging. Mandy did her clinical rotation at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City where she was offered a job upon graduation.
Mandy also trained in a Preceptorship specifically in MRI for 4 months and completed 25 credits of training on Hitachi Airis II Applications. Mandy has been employed by Garden City Diagnostics since 2006.
Mandy has three handsome sons and married to Pedro.

Alicia Bohann​an RT (R)
Alicia Bohannan is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiography. Alicia is also licensed in the state of Kansas. She completed 25 credits on Hitachi Aires II applications. Alicia has been employed with GCDX since 2021.
Alicia is married to Nathan with four beautiful children.
